The keyword is "consistent"! I don't listen to Jo Whiley or Fearne Cotton on Radio 1, so I usually miss Live Lounge the first around -- but usually pick up on the gems when Zane Lowe replays them. Something about the format inspires artists to be as kooky, or as sweet, or as bonkers as they like. For every clunker, there are many more that outshine the bad bits. I don't particularly care for the Sugababes ruining Keane's Spiralling, but Live Lounge did give us a restrained yet touching Amy Winehouse covering the Zutons' Valerie so it totally evens out :D
