Nano 2009: Day 1-ish

Couldn't for the life of me understand why kind-looking guy kept smiling at me when I looked up from my laptop in the cafe. That is, until I stood up and refilled my coffee and remembered:

HO SHIT THATS MY EX!

Now I'm hiding in a booth. Don't laugh.

No, I was the one who was a complete ass! He came up and we had a nice chat about what we were both doing now, until we hit this long pause. I think he knew that I had forgotten his name. /facepalm

Well, that's an eventful write-in. I'm kind of jealous. The most excitement I got was guys (LOUDLY) playing the Battlestar Galactica board game.

It was me and one other person at the write-in. Everyone else was in Torrance with the 'mainstream' group, pfft. I don't mind because it turns out all people want to do at the write-ins is talk, not write.
