"I said, there are people staring at us," he announced, refilling Shizuka's cup.

"Maybe they've never seen a guy in a dress before," Shizuka replied.

My favorite lines! Exactly in character and funny enough to make me snort at work. ^^

"You don't have to sit so close, you know," Watanuki groused.

Shizuka ignored him, leaning over and taking more sashimi from the plate in front of Watanuki.

"Are you even listening to me, Doumeki?"

The sashimi was perfectly prepared, as was everything else.

"Doumeki."

The takoyaki was good, too. Just enough sauce.

"Doumeki."

Shizuka looked up and held out his cup. "Sake."

"You bastard! Have you even heard a word I said?"

Shizuka blinked. "No," he replied honestly.

This is SUCH a perfect exchange!
-- The whole thing was Wonderfully in character from Doumeki's attention focused on what he considered worthy of attention, to Watanuki's inability to keep from being distracted by the least little thing.

I like me my Doumeki. He only cares when Watanuki is in trouble or there is food. XD

Ooh, excellent. I think the best part was actually how clearly you illustrated the differences between Doumeki and Rikuo. Too often I see them written too similarly.

I'll admit that they have some similiarities, but it comes down to this:

Rikuo: Ass
Doumeki: Indifferent
Rikuo: Personality!
Doumeki: None!
