How to talk geordie!

Some of the sound bites aren’t so good, and they’re quite short so there’s no context so to speak. Oh, and a “pronunciation guide” would help as well!

I hate office politics. Rumour has it that my job may not be as secure as I thought, and I could be on my arse with a weeks’ notice. It’s a long story how it works, but I’m basically on secondment which means I’m not on a normal contract as such, just on internal transfer. I think I watched too many documentaries whilst house sitting for my folks. I had a dream I had to be the caretaker of a zoo, but one of my duties involved cutting off the front leg of a cheetah to give to someone as a customary gift so they could eat it. You’ve really got to wonder about your workplace when, out of the blue, during an unrelated conversation about VCR and DVD players, a colleague pipes up with the line:

“Oh, I’m in the mood for Michael Flatley now!”

Has anyone else spotted this graffiti in the Melbourne CBD (or elsewhere for that matter) recently?
