She was irate, or pretending to be. She had feelings for him that she dared not reveal, to Buffy let alone herself. She could almost hear her eldest daughter say EEWWWW! Dawn still way too young to get the gist of it, thank god. Anyway she had to finish her tirade.
"Rupert! O--or Ripper or w-what ever you're calling yourself today. I'm not some dumb broad! I know what that candy does!"
Giles was flummoxed. "I--you, I-- How do you know about the candy?!"
She blinked at him like at a loss for words which she was. "Rupert how I know doesn't frigging matter. You don't need to trick me, or to force me or to - to... Oh Grrr!" She said and grabbed the back of his neck and crashed her lips upon his her tongue snaking through his lips.
"I love you, you big silly fuddy duddy librarian!" She giggled pushing him to the floor of the kitchen, since the girls were out for the moment.
