Popping in very quickly to post this. I have exams through Thursday night (ugh, last one over at 9pm) so I am studying furiously, but I will get caught up reading and commenting on everyone's fics and icons here very soon. Thanks guys!

Title A Vampire Cannot Live on Rats Alone
Author Sarah
Rating PG-13 (nothing you wouldn't see on either show)
Word Count 335
Prompt 012 - Mandy, specifically inspired by the lines "A shadow of a man, A face through a window"
Characters/Pairing (if any) Angel, Fred, Lamont, Bubba, Grady
A/N Crossover with Sanford and Son. Set in the 1970s. And yes, this is incredibly silly.

Fred, Grady, and Bubba were watching a monster movie at Fred’s house.

“Fred, do you think there are any real monsters out there?” Grady asked at the commercial break.

“What are you talking about, Grady? You’ve met Ester a hundred times,” Fred responded as Bubba laughed.

“I mean real monsters, Fred,” Grady whined.

“There’s no such thing as monsters, Grady.” Fred said as he noticed a strange face through the window with yellow eyes and fangs. “MONSTER! MONSTER!” Fred shrieked as he shot up out of his chair and grabbed his heart, “Oh, Elizabeth, honey! It’s the big one! I’m coming to join ya!” he continued, as he clutched at his heart and staggered around the room.

“Pop, what are you screaming about?” Lamont yelled, as he came down the steps.

“I saw a monster! It had glowing eyes and fangs. It was looking through the window at me and licking its chops.”

“Pop, do you know how dumb that sounds?” Lamont responded. “You, Bubba, and Grady shouldn’t watch so many monster movies. They’re making you imagine things.”

“I’m not crazy, I saw it.” Fred shouted. “You better go outside and investigate.”

“You go investigate. I’m going to bed.” Lamont shook his head as he went back upstairs.

“I have to do everything around here myself,” Fred grumbled as he went and picked up a baseball bat and handed it to Grady. “Go check and see if there’s a monster outside.”

“I’m not going out there. Here, Bubba, you go.” Grady handed the bat to Bubba.

“I’m not going either. You saw the monster, Fred, you go.” Bubba handed the bat back to Fred.

“You scaredy cats. Fine, I’ll go.” Fred held onto the bat for dear life and tiptoed over to the door as Grady and Bubba watched. He slowly opened the door, looked outside, and shut it again.

“Did you see the monster, Fred?” Bubba asked.

Fred shook his head. “All I saw was some weird honky with long hair eating Julio’s goat.”
