Oh, so glad I had the reminder to come back and read this. Your link of Gunn and Wood worked well the first time, and the connection is very neat here too. Wood's wariness is understandable, and fits in with canon; who can blame him? Nice to see a happy Lorne as well!

Thanks for commenting, sweetie! I do think that Wood is altogether too "evolved" to realize how isolated he's become. I figure Lorne and Charles are just the thing to break him out of his shell.

I know my vision of the future of the Council in the Ring On It 'verse is similar to the Rulesverse, though the relationships are pretty different. (Spike's human, there might not be an Illyria [pity!], Gunn is definitely NOT dead...altogether more fluffy, I'm afraid.) I hope you're okay with it!

I really like this representation of Robin Wood. Plus the fact that you throw in Gunn to the mix is amazing. Usually I don't like Robin stories because I've seen a lot of people portraying in one way and they can't seem to break him out of the one time he tried to kill Spike thing and so he's always hateful or depressed. But this was great.

Thank you for commenting. I always thought that Robin Wood was an amazing character, and couldn't quite see him as defined by his lowest point, even within the context of the show. I mean, he mans up right away after LMPTM, and fights bravely and keeps his cool. Those aren't the actions of a man who has been consumed by rage and disappointment.

I'm very glad this representation works for you! (I hope you also read the first part; set before he goes to Sunnydale.)

¡Yay! I figured that if Lorne and Gunn couldn't snap him out of his funk (and not the fun, danceable kind, either) then nothing was likely to! Thanks for commenting!

ETA: A-and it seems I've read it before and already commented. :head desk:
