Oh yeah. Spike gets a makeover! I love the manicure stakes. But also the sense of how much Dawn is at a loss during that time.

Thank you. Those little orange sticks manicurists use reminded me irresistibly of vampire stakes! I've always felt Dawn's shoplifting comes from the almost certainly inept parenting of the Scoobies over that summer. They were all too young to have much clue.
