As soon as I read this: Spike, Buffy, Illyria, Connor I got all flaily! The only way that dramatis personae could be better is if Dawn was included! And Cordy, though that's unlikely to happen. *wistful tear for Cordy*

This was very fun! Great use of Illyria and of Connor with that closing line! And nice to see Spike letting her have it--she needs that sometimes.

Buffy’s heart jumped a little as he called her Slayer again. She’d really missed that, and how forthrightly he spoke to her.

I've got a kink for that, too!
