nice work....but what was the yellow square, exactly?

I'm sorry for making the joke so oblique, but the yellow square is a pat of butter, which would certainly not melt in Darla's mouth because she's such a ... well, you decide.

Hee! LOL!

That was adorable!

Strictly from a reader's standpoint you understand. If Darla was coming towards me with a fire iron I'd be looking for the nearest exit.. :D

That's because you have a lick of sense. ;) Spike is determined to stir things up, though. I wonder if he still thinks it was worth it once she catches him.

Hi,

I was hoping, naively, for chocolate, or an ice cube, despite what I'd read.

There's also a very deep fear of what Darla on acid, or ecstasy, or whatever the drug-of-choice at the time would have been, would do?

Of course there was also a tiny fit of giggles :-)

Nice, and thank you,
Still under Willow & Tara's spell,
Ray.

Well, I'm not sure how widely available lysergic acid was in the Victorian era, but if you want some Darla in the 60s, I direct you to the 4th chapter of whichclothes's She's a 20th Century Vamp:

Actually, chocolate would've worked just fine, except that the original prompt was "pat". Is the phrase, "Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth?" uncommon on your side of the pond?

No,

but I could've been clearer :-)

as I meant to imply, I was trying to steer my inner thoughts away from 'Darla on Drugs', by means of nice fluffy floaty-light thoughts of nice pleasant, slightly-messy, things.

plus the image of the pat having a swan on it, made dark, not-so-pleasant memories of friends who've fallen victim to little things with pleasant designs on them.

still not sure why my drug is creating stories, even if most of them will spend eternity in my head, but I am grateful to the goddess for that.

Still under Willow & Tara's spell,
Ray.

I find their youthful high spirits endearing, as long as they aren't directing their attention toward me! Heh. Thanks for commenting!
