I approved this but it looks like the coding is messed up. If you could fix it, that would be great. :)

Ooops - sorry. I wish that moderated thing would let us look at stuff so I could see my html coding of fail!

I like the slightly spooky feel to this - thanks to River, of course, but also to Jayne's suppression of all those terrible thoughts. Very nice vignette.

Thanks! I'm glad that Jayne's unease at the thought of Reavers came through (with some prodding from River).

Thanks! It's wonderful to hear you liked this story and the way it depicts Jayne as having something deeper to him! It is sad that there's no little Firefly fic around these days.

I especially like that the source of the Jayne isn’t a killing machine line is the one made to be just that. If he stops to think of it, he'll know that isn't what he wants. The price is too high for anybody. Great job with all of this.

Thanks! It's great to hear that you liked it! And that's another layer I wasn't even conscious of (I was focusing on Jayne comparing himself to Reavers) - thanks for pointing it out!

Excellent capture of Jayne's frustration and River's unnerving ability to get to the heart of the matter. Jayne being haunted by The Reavers speaks to his humanity, and it's not a weakness no matter what he thinks. Great job.
