Really enjoyed this. What a novel concept about Angel giving his soul for Connor. And Faith doing what needed to be done with out hurting Buffy, even. Very nice character growth.

Thank you! I don't know whether you had a look at the banner which was my prompt, but it's a really good shot of late Faith, kind of concerned and adult and not her angry young self, turning away from Angelus like he's not really important. So her attitude and actions all flowed from that.

And honestly, if you want Angel to go dark, why not get his soul instead of taking over W&H? So much quicker!

Very Faith, and quite true. This was really interesting. It leads me to all sorts of questions, although your story's solidly ended. What's W&H's interest in this? Would Lindsey bring her back? I'll back off, but it's one of those "makes ya think" pieces. Great job.

Oh no, I'm very glad to make you think! I had in mind that this wasn't W&H's plan at all - because they didn't get Faith, really, and come to that they didn't expect Angelus to go off on this obsessive way.

As for Lindsey, not sure. It wouldn't fit his plan as in AtS s5; but then without Angel there is no plan. So... that's a much bigger fic!
