WE NEED YOUR THEME IDEAS!
lauratd and I have been cranking out themes for this comm for over two years and our brains are starting to feel crispy fried around the edges. That is why we are hoping that the members of this community can come help us with some new and shiny themes.
However, coming up with the monthly themes isn't as easy as it seems. The themes have to fit the following.
1. The theme has to be able to have three or four prompts based on the month along with enough to make a worthwhile free for all.
2. The theme has to be able to be applied to, at the very least, Buffy, Angel, and Firefly. Even better if it can be used for Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible.
3. The theme and prompts need to be able to be expressed through fic, fanart, and icons.
So while "Slayers" with a focus on a different Slayer each week might seem like a good idea, it wouldn't because there are no Slayers on Firefly. And while angst might be a great theme, there are no weekly prompt ideas to go for it. And a What-If month might seem awesome on the surface, it might be too hard for people without manip skills to do icons.
If you have an idea for a theme that you think would just be awesome, please comment (comments are screened in case we decide to use them and they can be a surprise). Also please include at least two examples of prompts that could be used during this theme month. If you could give us three or four, that would be awesome.
