Note: Companion drabble that follows this one which was written for open_on_sunday's opposite/backward challenge. I think I like this idea a little too much.
"You're not what you seem," he muses aloud, running his fingers through her hair. "They think you're a good girl. Calm, grounded... they think you're better than this. But we know the truth, don't we?"
She closes her eyes, willing him, that voice, away even though she knows that deep down she needs him more than anything.
He did this to her. She didn’t do this, it’s all him, even if she knows that statement is just a lie, a mantra to keep her own sanity.
“Just give me what I want, Rack.”
“Anything for you, Tara. Anything for you.”
