He doesn't know how his house is, and seemed surprised when Tangent asked, but his grandparents said they are never going to try to ride out anything over a Cat - 3 again.
I don't think they've moved, the house I'm thinking of is 3 miles outside of the Slidell city limits. I didn't know it was on a hill. That may account for some of his "what, why _wouldn't_ my house be ok?" response to our questions, on the other hand, he's 14 and his house may have contagious immortality.
I know that Andy refers to his house as being in Slidell, but Tangent has told me that it's actually about 3 miles south of the Slidell city line, and that would put it in NO proper if I'm reading the map right. Tangent just told me they DO live on a hill. Maybe they moved from one hill to another, or possibly the same hill. I'm guessing it's the same hill.
The hotel in Texas seems to have very little in the way of phone lines, I guess the greater area's communications are still overstressed. It's out near a 'ranch' his grand-dad owns, but there is no inhabitable structure on the property, so they stay at the hotel. Normally, the hotel has communications with the outside world, but not so much right now.

I met Andy once when he was about three or four, I think. he was, as I recall, just devastatingly cute.

Any word on if it was okay? Or are you saying they moved to Slidell since last I was there?

If they are in Slidell, I have no idea where they are topographically.
