Oh, this was so sad, but so well-written. I just feel bad for everyone in this situation (but Andy especially). Well not Jen, she seems fine no matter what.

Thanks! Yeah, I mean, I feel pretty bad for Andy, but actually even worse for April. And I super ship Chris/Jen normally, but this is like the darkly twisted nightmare version of them.

Yeah, I don't really see the appeal of April/Ben at all.

I mean, it's not like I'm super against it or anything. I just don't really "get it" though. It doesn't make any sense to me.

You know, I'm not the biggest fan of angst when it comes to anything involving Leslie (I mean, I read it anyway) because she's the least angsty person ever, but it really works for these two, in this situation. And I think it rings true. Yeah, April loves Andy unconditionally now, but she is both younger than he is and much smarter, and I can absolutely see how he might not meet all her needs forever. (That possibility is something I've been thinking about for a while, actually.) Poor Andy, though. And, as usual, you are the master of Chris-voice.

Anyway, really well done. This is lovely and heartbreaking.

Well, April may be a good judge of character generally, but she's also trying to prove a point, and it's quite a nasty one at that. Who knows if Leslie doesn't actually have other priorities than April thinks.

I must confess that I love the idea of April outgrowing Andy. I wish they would explore that on the show, but, admittedly, it's not a very cheerful topic. I think to call them "soulmates forever" is a little over the top though, when there's basically no kind of intellectual stimulation in that relationship for April at all. And she's developing, she's starting to drop that mentality where she thinks it's super cool to sabotage everything--one has to wonder what there is that Andy can offer her after that. He's fun and he's upbeat, I suppose, but so are other people.

& thanks! :)

Thank you so much! That's great to hear.

Ah, April. Well, at some point something's going to have to give, I assume. I don't think she's going to remain in this place where she feels stuck forever. Chris, though, I don't know. He has a better attitude about it, but he's pretty thoroughly lost.

And yay! I ship them so hard, too. :) Though I don't think every incarnation of them has to be this bleak, hopefully, hah.
