This is one of those journals I really, really need to write for my own record and good...the kind that should end up super long, but I'm not sure how much energy I can muster to get it all down before I collapse in a heap of emotional fatigue. I'm feeling such a grab bag of emotions that I am avoiding actually writing this entry by writing this

There is a lot here to reply to, but it is late, or rather early, (5 a.m.). Been up two hours with my newborn son, and he is finally back down to sleep, so I ought to be, too. But I wanted to reply to let you know I have had times like you describe in #7 and #8. I, too, recorded my thoughts, albeit on a piece of paper, and am glad I did. It was a DTR that led to a break-up with someone I really loved, and left me available to serve the mission I had hoped to serve since I was a little girl. (To be clear, I did not choose mission over marraige - He broke up with me months before, and we started kinda dating again, and then it came to the point where I had to tell him I had my mission papers, and what did he think of that, kind of a conversation, where he told me to go, not stay back with him

Looking back, this is the most perfect comment/response. I'm thankful you took the time to share your thoughts! I'm going through this process now...more than ever. I've chosen a change or two to make, and learned that I can't wait to 'perfect' them, but learning to submit to the spirit, and when I feel it's okay to advance, move forward and pick another change.

I love what you said about conversing with God...conversation has to have two contributors.
