It's 83 degrees in Salt Lake City, and it's 10:30 p.m. There is a slight breeze thanks to a cold front coming in, but the air tastes like smoke thanks to a fire at the southeast end of the valley. it probably won't help, but you've heard the phrase "you can't go home again"?

it's true.. when I reflect on my happy memories about home and go back there, it's never the same.. and never as good as I remembered.

And I'm pretty sure when it's -50 up in Michigan this winter and maybe 20 degrees in UT, you'll be a little happier to be in UT instead of MI. :)

I'll post my MN temps for you during the winter.. we're enjoying the cold spell your native MI is having. It's GORGEOUS out.. sunny, cool breeze, 68 degrees. This is why I moved here. Sadly it will be winter before we know it..
