BLACK AMERICANS DO STICK TOGETHER. I WISH ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIANS COULD DO THAT! WHEN THERE ARE BIG ISSUES FOR MY CULTURE WE TEAR EACH OTHER APART AND THERE ARE THE BLACK MOB WHO ARE ALL "OHHH WE SHOULDN'T ROCK THE BOAT" THEN THERE ARE OTEHRS WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR BLACK RIGHTS.

WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN HERE THOUGH.

BUT, I LOVED THIS POST. YOU MADE SOME REALLY AWESOME POINTS.

Dear Brother (yes, I'm Black and I am sticking together with you, Baby). Your article is hip AND hop. Loved it. You are so right on. The most obscene, seething, vulgar, critical blogs about Adam that I have read have been on SOME of the "gay" sites. I have often criticized my own (Black) people for our sometime tendency to denigrate ourselves in public but NOTHING I have heard any race or people say about their own matches some of the vicious, self-loathing attacks some have said about Adam Lambert. Whew. And, as far as I can see, HE is one of the good guys in the world who is consciously trying to uplift and encourage self-respect in others -- especially youth. Anyway, I admire Adam and love his talent and his honesty in expressing who he is. I appreciate his invitation into his world. He's intelligent, civilized, respectful AND hot!

Thank you for your comment! I'm a girl, but definitely down for my brothers both queer and straight! It's really sad what's happening, but hopefully a lesson is being learned!

This is beautiful, and I'm going to be showing it to all my friends. I think you acutally have a wonderful perspective as a (straight? Bi?) black female, and a wonderful way of summarizing the entire situation and pointing out exactly what is wrong with our culture. Also, it was quite lulzy to read :3
