Soulja Boy Tell Em is a dude? Really? I thought Soulja Boy was a song or a group ... you know what, never mind.

Yeah! I thought it was just a song, but then I found it was a person, and THEN I found out the entire name was "Soulja Boy Tell Em" which... yeah. Nevermind.

If I sing that song anywhere near my little brother, he will beat me up. (The brother in this one.) I also can't sing any Hannah Montana songs, certain TMBG songs, the "I'm hot 'cause I'm fly" one, or "Ring of Fire," because they get stuck in his head. So naturally I really like singing them around him, then running away before he can hit me.

Was this gentleman suffering from momentary massive stupidity and cultural blindness, or is he an unfortunate victim of chronic idiocy? That reminds me of one of the few books I was unable to complete; David Friedman's The Machinery of Freedom. Yeah, he's the son of that Friedman, and he's a Libertarian par exellence; 50 percent "You're not the boss of me" lives-in-his-mama's-basement type libertarian and 50 percent "I've lived so long in the ivory tower that I wouldn't understand real life if it came up and slapped my heinie" libertarian.

The book lost me somewhere in the first or second chapter, when he described slavery as an economic agreement between master and slave.

And by "lost me" I mean "made me throw the book across the room. In a public laundromat."

That... well that's just terrifying! Man, the justifications some people will make! And to this question:

Was this gentleman suffering from momentary massive stupidity and cultural blindness, or is he an unfortunate victim of chronic idiocy?

I answer d) all of the above.

Doctor, I believe your prognosis is right. Unfortunately for the victim, we'll have to prescribe 356 milligrams of bitchslap, stat.
