Amazing what you come across while doing pseudo-research for fic. I was rather amused by the Anglepoise lamp edict, where apparently in 1949, a particularly moralistic head of the Variety Department at the Beeb forbade writing from being done under the sole illumination of a desk lamp. There had to be a wall or ceiling light on too, because working

I guess that explains my degenerate nature. I never use my ceiling lights, only lamps [I have weird issues about lights shining overhead]

Well, Moff had the Doc do a lot of talking about bananas, but not in conjunction with radiation. No mention of banana equivalent doses is coming to mind, but I don't know classic Who at all.

It does seem like exactly the sort of thing that *should* come up in Who, though.
