Well, whoever told you that's kinda right. This is Somarium, and you're probably really far from home. Somarium's on another planet. Hypnosia, or something.

Nobody's got straight answers for how, but I've heard that some tech they've got malfunctioned and dragged us all here while we were unconscious or asleep or something like that.

We don't know a lot of answers, to be honest. We're on a planet called Hypnosia, and Somarium used to be the biggest city, if I remember correctly.

[She pauses for a moment.] You know Desmond?

No one seems to have any answers, bit frustrating. Another planet seems - ( she pauses and searches for a word that isn't going to make her sound like she's closed minded ) - interesting.

The natives aren't too talkative, unfortunately. They come to us when they need us to help out with things, but that's pretty much it. [She sounds a bit frustrated at that.

But when Lucy mentions that she knows Desmond, Tifa smiles.] I'm glad he's getting more friends here.

[Well, that's a bit of a familiar face. In fact it takes him a moment to respond to her as he flashes back to Desmond's dream and the sight of her being stabbed. But he shakes it off and answers her; both out of curiousity and out of a sense of kinship.]

From what I was told we are dreaming. This is a world call Hypnosia on which Somarium is a city. We are pulled here either while sleeping or daydreaming or in a moment of absence. I will admit to not knowing how, but that is what I have heard.

( for a brief moment she just stares at the image on her screen because it looks like Desmond but that can't be right. just to make sure though, she glances over her shoulder, vaguely, to look at the comatose novice then arches a brow to the man speaking to her. that accent... nah, couldn't be )

Well, that's a bit more information then I've managed to find to date. Although that doesn't explain much. I suppose the largest question is "why" are we here - no one seems to have that answer though.

[For a moment Altaïr smirks at her first reaction: staring then glancing back at Desmond. But his features smooth back out before she can notice and he replies in an even tone, giving no indication of his continuing amusement.]

No, we don't. Nor have we been able to find a way to return to our worlds and awaken. At least not consciously. People do disappear from here, and those that return say they went back to their lives; if they remember their previous time here that is.

[There's a bit of a pause before he decides to just ask]

We can come and go from here randomly and not recall ever being here? That's intriguing.

( she gives a slight uncomfortable shift in her position. Lucy doesn't enjoy being recognized by someone she doesn't know - or rather by someone who is from so far in the past that it doesn't make sense for them to be able to even ask her for her name )
