Sorry. I think you did. In my defence I will say that they're fooling around with a rift through time and space. I'll lay some of it out in the next part.

On a different note, LJ seems to be jacking me around again. I can see that I there comments at the bottom of my stories but not what they are. The preview button seems to have disappeared as well. Are you having similar issues by chance?

It just wasn't a twist I expected. Hopefully everythig will work out.

No problems with the site. I'm using Safari browser. Not sure what will cause those problems.

It should. Originally I'd planned on having some of the explanation in this one but Jack went a little too "Captain Jack, leader of Torchwood" and Ianto went a little "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting around on you, you prick" and they got kind of pissy. I decided I didn't like the tone and slapped them both around and told them to behave so now I'm rewriting that bit.

I'm using internet explorer. My tags are gone, I can't look at comment threads, and my preview button is gone. It's making me a little crazy at the moment.

Yup. I went there. Once I finish it I'll even lay out where the various ideas came from.

Whoah! 0.0

Okay, so if Shadowman is Ianto, then he must have been bounced way back in time if the earlier sightings really were of him (and just how does he control the shadows and evoke a feeling of dread in people - and weevils - anyway? Alien tech?) So technically, that means he helped to rescue himself at least once... o_O Timey wimey!

The opening scenes were so heartbreaking, with poor Jack so devastated all he could do was stare at nothing and go over and over what had happened, finding new ways to blame himself. The weevil sequence is gripping, very visual and beautifully staged. I could 'see' it clearly. As for the big reveal at the end - I really didn't see that coming!

Thank you. I was afraid I had been a little obvious at times. I'm reworked quite a bit of the next part this morning before annoyances like laundry and a trip to the grocery store got in my way. I promise I'm not making this up as a go along. I knew exactly what I wanted to happen before I started. Once I'm a little further along I'll break down my reasoning either in an authors note or comment.

Apparently the story was so confusing that LJ won't let me post it jackxianto (I'm starting to get a complex about that one). I had numerous issues yesterday and they've fixed some of them but most of the tool bar is gone including the link icon when I try to post there. Such is life I suppose.

Weird LJ! Don't know what could be causing that. I've been having trouble with putting links in posts on Dreamwidth, the Insert Link button is there but when I click it, the window that opens is blank with no space to paste the link. It must be random gremlins infecting the interweb, intent on irritating us and making us tear our hair out. There's always something that either doesn't work right or doesn't work at all.

That repeated single line is hauntingly heartbreaking. I just want to haul Jack into a hug and tell him it will be ok...but then there are some things you can't ever get over, like losing the love of your life, your one true soulmate. Jack's despair is so raw.
The end twist was brilliant and I can't wait to find out what happened to Ianto when he was dragged into the rift so that he could finally return to his beloved Captain.
Hooked on this tale of Time and space rollercoaster.

Thank you! And thank you again for not letting me get away with being lazy about the begining. I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out. The next one shouldn''t be too far off.

I was heartbroken reading the repeated line. So wanted to shout to Jack to tell him it will be alright, but couldn't because I didn't know if it would be. So glad Tosh was there for him, Gwen was just.....well you know my feelings on her. Then that twist at the end, wow, wasn't expecting that but now can't wait to see what happened to Ianto when he was pulled through the rift. And Hart....hope he's no more. Loved it and can't wait for the next installment. Soon please.

Thank you. I doubt I do anything so angsty for awhile. I hate that shit. I'm enjoying writing both Tosh and Owen for different reasons right now. Gwen, eh...not so much. I find myself having to work not to make her a complete harpy from Hell. As for Hart, Ianto has definate opinions about Hart. The new one should be reasonably soon:)
