Poor Doggy! I hope he feels better soon. It's a good sign that he is still eating and drinking and playing. Maybe he just ate something that he shouldn't have. The blood could be from a fissure in his anus or from him straining when he poops.
You might want to ask the vet if she wants a stool sample...that way she can test for goobers in his system.
