I had hell trying to find a hotel in Manhatton for Saturday night (I'm leaving a day early), as it's the marathon in New York city. This sucks, because everything was ludicrously expensive. Ludicrously. Fortunately, I'm now working at your New York office after, and have a room at the Tribeca Grand Sunday and Monday night, but on the Saturday I'm having to slum it near La Guardia...

Locke Lamora's lies are quite brilliant, eh? Scott'll be at WFC, last I heard. He's a riot.

Locke held together very well. I can definitely understand why it's one of the nominees. Very glad I picked up a hardcover when I was at Context earlier this month. Gave away my mass market to a friend at work who likes SFF, along with a spare copy of A Civil Campaign.

I've even toyed with the idea of jumping right into RSuRS. Its prologue works as an effective hook. So I may bring two books with me, rather than just the one.
