Passing on World Fantasy 08

As much as I would love to go this year, since last year was such a good experience, I'm going to have to pass on the convention this year. I blame the economy, so it's all Bush's fault. Canceling my hotel as soon as I can dig up the reservation number for the hotel ( Read more... )

Sometimes hotels take the room out of the con pool if you cancel, and then folks have to pay full price if they come later. You might check if they do that, and if so, post that you have a room you'd like to transfer.

I'm not going this year, either. Maybe next year!

2012? Where's it slated for then? Didn't know it was set out that far.

I am looking forward to 2010. Columbus is definitely workable. Though I would like to make it next year as well. I liked San Jose when I went their for Worldcon way back when.

Salt Lake City.

After an impressively successful WHC, the same concom are bidding, unopposed at the moment, for WFC 2012.

If they win, I'll be there, seeing that I'm part of that concom.

Salt Lake's a Delta hub, which makes getting there easy, even for me.
