The new keyboard (Digital Media Pro) arrived to replace the generic one that came with the desktop. So far, so good -- the key feel is a bit "mushier" than the old one, but in general it's more comfortable. Unfortunately, the new keyboard and driver install didn't fix the one recurring annoyance I have with the machine (it won't wake from sleep

Do you have sufficient admin permissions to turn off "sleep" mode?

I did that on my computer a while back because it locked in the middle of something and I lost 2 hours of work!

I have user accounts for me and starmalachite and an admin account for doing stuff like that. I turned off automatic sleep mode -- I manually invoke it at night to turn off the LEDs in the case so it's easier for me to sleep....
