I've got my clothes and basic supplies packed, printed out and packed a batch of Concertino flyers, and checked the schedule to see if there's anything Friday afternoon we really want to catch. I'm at the point of double-checking the essentials list -- grooming bag, cell phone charger, AA battery charger, etc.

Nice price on the air tickets! The other airports (Manchester, Boston, and Hartford) are all about the same distance from Worcester, so you wouldn't have been able to do much better on the ground transport side.

I'd heard Southwest had some good deals, but I was surprised by how good. The only real catch is that we have to be at BWI to catch an 8:30 AM flight on Friday and the flight back gets into BWI at about 8:30 PM Monday -- I decided to ask for that Tuesday off to sleep in.

I mostly mentioned that as a pointer in case anybody else from around here is looking for a flight (though I think most of the usual suspects are just going to drive it).

Vir is alternately lying across my lap and investigating my suitcase. ;-)

I think it will be August when Southwest starts flying directly into Boston.

I'll keep that in mind for next Boskone. It doesn't really matter for Concertino; starmalachite really prefers not to drive in Boston traffic if it can be avoided.
