Right now, Jupiter rises in the southeast, and sets south west. It's by far the brightest object in the night sky right now (other than the moon, obviously), so if you were looking south, it was probably Jupiter. If you have a decent pair of binoculars and you're able to steady your hands enough, you can even see some of its moons (depending on what time of night you look).

Nice pics. I haven't been able to do anything with your Jupiter photo yet, other than turn it into a pixelly blob. But I'll keep trying.
I saw a big bright thing in the sky recently. Is it Jupiter or something else? (I realize I'm being vague)
