Japan: Day Eight

I'm now home in Columbus, and am going to write entries for the last few days of the trip. I plan to consolidate everything into a nice section of my website with inline image thumbnails and such, but I'd like to finish writing it all out in this format first.

I warmly recommend picking up the first volume of the Hikaru no Go manga. You get a nice story and an introductory course to Go with nice art! (Well, you noticed that already.)

That stew thing you mentioned sounds like either Sukiyaki (which is awesome and tasty) or Shabu Shabu. I think it's the latter where you just dip the meat in to cook it. It's too bad that the place was closed.

Yeah, shabu shabu was what he called it.

Man, you know all about Japanese food and you're just starting to learn the language. I don't think I realized what a Japanophile you were.
