Post New Years Update

Jan 03, 2006 23:23

We're down to just two out-of-towners spending the night tonight, and they're both leaving tomorrow. It's been a very full few days. Guests began arriving on Thursday the 29th, with most coming in on the 30th or 31st. By my count, there were a total of 19 who came to Columbus for New Years. Thankfully only nine of them, I think, actually slept ( Read more... )

That OGG thing... raptorck January 3 2006, 22:18:12 UTC
Since it wouldn't be a Steve-O post without tech-nitpicking from me, the reason that you don't have Ogg Vorbis support is that there are off-the-shelf dedicated MP3 decoder chips for cheap, while the silicon for Ogg Vorbis isn't there yet. General purpose players, such as the iPod, have no such excuse, of course. (WMA-on-a-chip has also been out for while, and combo chips are an old idea as a result.)

So yeah, Ogg support is a little tricky on the tinier players. This is why my long-term plan is to get more disk space, encode to FLAC, and then re-encode from that to the lossy codec of choice.

at times there were as many as FIVE WHOLE GIRLS at this party, none of whom are single

Technically I'm still single. Still in the dating stage of things, no big exclusivity talk yet.

Fun times!

Aw. That looked like a sweet party.
It's nice to know there's some place to visit, if all my local friends were to suddenly die.

"Dal, if you can still find any of those banana ones you mentioned, I'd love to have some."

When I go home this weekend, I'll check for ya'.

Yeah, I tend to be a trash-picker-upper when I'm staying at someone's place. Problem this time was... I *wasn't* staying there. Usually such things are best done in the mornings, when everyone's still passed out.

Yes, that's right, at times there were as many as FIVE WHOLE GIRLS at this party
As opposed to parts of girls? Ewww....

Taiko Drum Master - Phil bangs out some Katamari On the Rocks while Dejio and McFly watch.
You forgot to mention the part where I just stopped playing and gave up pissed off at the game. :) I talked to bluestreak7 about it, and he had the same problems with being a drummer and the game not having the drum hits correspond with actual drum beats/drum lines.
