Two weeks from Saturday a 42" Plasma HDTV will be delivered to my house. 'Twas on sale through Best Buy online for $759 (with a $60 delivery charge). Well, you can get a really good upconverting DVD player for a 100 bucks or less though, which is half as much as the cheapest hd-dvd or bluray players I've seen. I'm not sure how good you're DVD player is now, though. Hell, I actually have an extra upconverting DVD player if you want it. I didn't really like it though and it didn't agree with my TV. The format war pisses me off, so I don't want to pick a side (plus I'm poor). All this talk about TVs makes me want a new one, which is a bit unnecessary. If my tax return is large it could be dangerous because electronics usually beat out savings and common sense.
