Well, this certainly isn't how I wanted/expected to ring in the new year.
I'm one of those people who is big on New Year's Celebrations. The bigger, the better. The more fun I have on New Year's Eve, I feel like it will be an indicator of how the year will pan out. It's already not necessarily the case.

If there's anything we learn through losing these beautiful people, it's about the precious time we have here on earth. That each day is a gift from God, and we shouldn't waste the blessings we have in our family and friends. It almost makes me angry when I think of people who spend their weekends working rather than with their families. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to us and we shouldn't take it for granted!
Anyway. I'm so sorry, and I wish I could give you a big hug. I hope you are taking comfort looking through old photos and sharing warm memories.
