[The Rorschach that currently appears on-screen is decidedly NOT the Rorschach those who have dealt with him thus far are likely used to.

He's smiling, for one thing.  It's cracked and awkward, as if he's literally forgotten how and is managing from an instruction manual written by a robot, but he's smiling.  Or at least looks disconcertingly ( Read more... )

my warden is not an owl substitute, [verse]: last voyages, yes it really might kill him to smile, [flood]: too many mf fairies on this mf , riddle me this

[Dick doesn't look much different, except that he's wearing a Red Sox hat he got from Costigan last Christmas which... may or may not be hiding the return of his embarrassing 90's haircut.]

They got you too, huh?

They gave you a hat?

[Yes, that quizzical expression you see is actual honest-to-God personal curiosity. As if he's actually interested and not just asking because he's not sure what else could be "wrong".

Although there's that too.

He's snickering again; it's funny somehow.]

[Fairy infested Rorschach is both somehow way easier to talk with and also really scary for that reason. :|]

No, this was a Christmas present. They did something to my hair. Are you doing alright?

Hair grows, Richard; unsure of predicament.

Fine now, aside from psychological concerns. ...It's inadvisable to attempt to counter them directly; was...swarmed after eliminating several. Unpleasant.

Better now. [...Yeah, that smile? Doesn't really support that.]

Hello Edward.

Likely only what was necessary.

They're not bothering me now. [...Because he's too cheerful(ish) to attack them, let's be honest about this.]

You seem to be doing well.

Fumigation? But that might hurt them.

Depends on gas used. Possible to incapacitate without injuring permanently.

[Welp this should be a good first talk, huh.]

Fumigation probably wouldn't help much.

[No better time!]

Suspected as much; eliminate a few, replaced with larger numbers. Would probably only speed the process.

Have a better idea?

[No sarcasm; he's actually interested.]

Wait it out. Is this your first flood? They'll only be around for a few days. And it doesn't sound like they've done anything really dangerous so far.

Don't understand why you call something a "flood" when it doesn't involve water. But yes. Usually like this?
