We went to see an Inconvienent Truth last night. It affected me in a way I don't think anything quite ever has before. I think I lost a chunk out of my eternal optimism and faith in mankind during that film. Interestingly, there is a Futurama clip in there about how evil greenhouse gases beat the crap out of innocent sunbeams, leaving their bodies to pile up around the Earth.

Yeah, I'm not really surprised by it either. I was pleasantly surprised by Gore's heartfelt, and sometimes funny part in the film.

I do plan on seeing it, certainly, though I might wait for a rental.

Sadly, I think there are a lot of people who will avoid it simply because of how they feel about Mr. Gore.

He does make anti-Bush jokes, which was really my only beef with the film. If he had layed off the political humor I think it would have come out less controversial and more fact-oriented.

I will say, the majority of it is hard fact, but the smattering of political humor here and there seems to be there just to make the crowd pop.

I didn't notice the anti-Bush jokes as much, but maybe that's cause I don't mind them? (not saying that Nathan does...) I'm sure there will be a lot of people that will avoid it because of that reason. Unfortunately, there will probably be a fair amount of people that will see it, and not care enough to make a change as well.
