About 150 pages to go on the 5th and final book of Eddings' 5 part trilogy The Belgariad, and I am definitely into the swing of it now. Still not great writing, but easily digestible and commercially-friendly, and that's no mean feat. I can see the appeal, but it's taken a while to reprogram my brain to appreciate it. Hey steph, are you able to eat quinoa. It's something we've tried recently because of Rob's coeliacness, and it's a very nice grain.

It's been on the possibles list for a while. Officially it's a beige status of "untested" but I've been meaning to give it a go for a while. I have to talk to the dietician again soon.

It's quite tasty, even by itself. A sort of nutty flavour.

Nutty flavour seems to be a feature of vegetable-based protein.
