It's funny how quickly things can change. I remember the first Eastercon I ever went to, 8 or 9 years ago, and how lost and uncertain I felt. I knew almost no one there. I had to nerve myself up to try to introduce myself to absolutely anyone I wanted to talk to throughout the entire weekend - which, for an introvert, was pretty grueling ( Read more... )

Well I have had the privilege of reading LOW ROAD and I can't resist the temptation to remark that it is INSANELY GOOD. Right from the very first page.

I'm so happy for you! Also, you are my role model as a risk-taker when it comes to creative matters. My cynical old heart skipped a beat when I heard the good news, because I did remember how you beat yourself up over spending that special delivery parcel at a time when money was so tight. *HUGS* This is sooooooooo wonderful!

Wish I'd seen more of you at the con, but we'll fix that soon, right?

*MORE HUGS*

Oh, Trish, THANK YOU! Especially because you are one of the biggest reasons I had the faith to write this book at all! *HUGS*

We will definitely see each other again - and for much more time! - soon. And btw, I just finished watching your Eastercon reading on UStream and I LOVED it! I already knew I loved the opening of Pearl, but I also really loved your reading of it. So frustrated I couldn't be there in person, but I'm so glad the reading was recorded!
