First, the hard news. For anyone who was planning to come see me in the Jane Austen panel at the Bath Children's Literature Festival next week...I'm really, really sorry, but I've had to pull out of it for health reasons (the ME/CFS, as usual). I hate having to do that. I only ever do it if I really don't think I can manage. But I feel really bad

I hope you feel better soon--and huge congratulation on the sale. It's hard to balance life, and keep up writing short and long fiction all at the same time.

By the way, I'd love to see the opera Aliette wrote, but I refuse to sit in the front row. I suspect there will be blood splashing and perhaps bodies flying.

I'm at the same place I've been for far too long: writing and querying, writing and query...Right now I have five fulls and a partial out with agents. I only wish I could feel more positive about it.

GOOD LUCK with the querying process. It can feel so grueling and brutal on self-confidence. I am sending you the virtual armor of stubborn self-belief and endless persistence!
