Isn't it lovely? I can't count how many times I've listened to it over the past few days.

Robin McKinley?? That is a banner moment. I'd have loved to be a fly on your wall when you read that blog post. How cool!!!

Emily's jewelry is beautiful! More coolness, having a friend make book-inspired jewelry.

I love that version of Fields of Gold. Thanks for posting it. I haven't heard it in ages.

It was an AMAZING moment to see that. I wasn't kidding about the hyperventilation!

Ohhh, I love Emily's jewelry. I feel so lucky that she's making it for my books!

And isn't that a lovely cover? Someone gave me their whole album today and I love it.

WOW. Robin McKinley ~ that is SO COOL. I'm so tickled for you! And despite the sadness and destruction in London, I think it is important to focus on happy things, too, to remember that life holds joy and possibility even in the midst of chaos. Thanks for sharing so many happy things! <3

Robin McKinley has a blog??!! Must go and see what she wrote about your wonderful book. :) :)

The jewelry is LOVELY! How did you ever find Emily? How lucky you are to have custom-made jewelry. Absolutely cool.

ETA: Oh, and thank you so much for mentioning Vanished in the same breath as Maryrose Wood, Jeanne Birdsall, and Karen Cushman! Wow - I'm flattered...and touched.

Isn't the jewelry beautiful? Emily does wonderful work - if you ever want any jewelry for Vanished, you should definitely get in touch with her! (If you're curious, I can email you details about the contract we signed, but basically, it's really flexible and fair and perfect for authors who want beautiful book-themed jewelry to wear and use for giveaways but don't want/can't afford to pay to commission it.) Emily and I met in a writing workshop several years ago - she's a writer as well as a jeweler.

And of course Vanished was one of my five! I love it so much! :)
