Yay you for finishing!!!!!!!! Also: you are NOT whiney. Not even close. Hope you can get some rest now, and I'll be thinking of you as you go into the next lap. Take good care (and don't reply to this!!! just relax a tiny bit)
I feel your pain about the italics. I had that happen once--no one's fault, they just somehow disappeared by accident between copyedits and the galleys--and it is stressful. But a wail now and then is good for letting out the stress.
Yes take deeps breaths and have a big hug from me too. That's terrible about the italics- you can't just underline on the first pass pages and indicate italic in the margin? Typing up a description of where they go just sounds awful!!! Hugs, hugs, hugs- and you shall triumph. One page at a time!
Thank you!!! *HUGS* Unfortunately, because we're doing this stuff internationally, there just wasn't time for me to write stuff on the manuscript - I had to type up a big list of changes instead. But ohhhh, it really helped to get the sympathy and cheering on!
I just wanted to reiterate what the others have said. If you need an extra day to cope with the problems someone else has caused by losing the italicisation, then they really ought to give it to you.
Keep taking little breaks and be kind to yourself.

Please pace yourself. Think of the big picture, which includes you and your health. The world will not end if this is a day late. Listen to Patrick!

Patrick is right. Take breaks. Breathe deeply.
