Unexpected inspiration

This morning, at 7:48 a.m., my cellphone beeped to announce a text. I saw that it was from MrD's childminder and thought: Uh-oh. I love nothing better than a walk in a beautiful wood, so I simply MUST get to Puzzlewood one of these days! So glad you had this opportunity to enjoy a magical family day!

Oh wow, Puzzlewood! I went there years ago, it really is a magic place. I'd love to take Chris there, he has a real thing about trees :)

Oh, then you guys have to go there together! It was amazing. And although we were there as a family, so it was a different vibe, I imagine that if it was just the two of you alone it would be a wonderfully romantic place, too.

Oh, wow! First Raglan, now this!

We used to live by a wood that was magical in a very different, American sense -- majestic beeches and pines, with sunlight filtering through, and rivulets and strange glacial formations everywhere. Sweetpea called it the "Wild Wood." We're still looking for something to take its place here in Oxfordshire.
