Christmas wrap-up

Very belatedly summing up...it was a really lovely Christmas. People genuinely seemed to like the presents we'd chosen, we got fab presents of our own, everybody admired Mr Darcy (but of course!), who got to meet two sets of uncles and aunts for the very first time, along with a whole bunch of cousins...and my very best present by far came from ( Read more... )

Thank you! Patrick is too sick right now even to read or watch a DVD...this is a really nasty bug. :(

I've known a number of New Years that have begun with someone getting horrendously sick, out of the blue. I believe it's our bodies' way of purging to start fresh-- dehydrated and weak, yes, but ultimately purified. Out with the old and in with the new, and all that. Hope everyone feels better soon, anyway.

Also, I want to see that story!

That's a much better way of looking at the flu! I'll try to keep it in mind...

...and I'm sure you will see the story - but not until February, since we have a house rule against ever submitting to SH in January! ;)

Ha. I want to say that we're always glad to see submissions from either of you at any time, even the busiest... but looking at what's piling up in my inbox right now, I have to admit I'm not entirely sorry that you're holding off.

What a fantastic story!

Babies aren't immune...if Mr D does begin barfing a lot, get him to hosp--they can dehydrate FAST.

Wishing you luck. Hopefully the baby's immunity spreads to you. During the first year, I didn't catch anything. Had some sort of Mommy immunity.

I've enjoyed reading both yours and Patrick's stories. The ones on Serendipity had me in tears. Just beautiful.

I'm so glad you liked the stories. Thank you so much for telling me! It means a lot to me to hear that.

And I hope I repeat your mommy immunity! :)

Ah, it's so sweet when love makes fiction so powerful and publishable.

Happy Holidays!
