lj reminded you? i thought they didn't send b-day reminders anymore bb/c i haven't got one in yrs.
i've only watched wife swap once but it's funny people always get all pissy about the parent that doesn't do anything. why should they if they're born with priveledge? my family in central america is very wealthy and we usually have 3 maids and a cook to help around the house.
i think one thing is being a total pig and having clothing, food, and stains all around b/c u're too lazy to do anything. my mom is a housekeeper, and even though i don't like the chemical damage to her body - she likes the easy money. my mom is very vocal if the children or pets are too dirty she speaks up and they fix it pay her more money. you get what you pay for and if i was in my family's country i would have soomeone do the dusting and cleaning for me.
i'm not saying don't have maids. i'm just saying that kids should be taught some responsibility. the kid obviously didn't know how to clean up after herself, and that's something you should know how to do, regardless of what your status is.
my best guess is, even though your family is privilaged, you still know how not to be a slob. the way they portrayed it, this kid didn't know how not to be. and that's really sad.
and i don't get emailed birthday reminders either. i have the client downloaded and if i open it on someone's birthday, i get one of those pop-up boxes saying "so and so is having a birthday today" or something like that. so, i'm guessing that's the difference.
ok i get Wife Swap and Trading Spouses confused but the one on Fox is trashy and wrong. The one on Abc made me cry b/c everyone usually learns to appreciate each other and help around the house more. i agree that parents should teach their children to be clean, respectful and whatnot and if they don't do it then have their nannies teach them (joke).
oh cool, i d/l the blue and purple clients but i mostly use the blue one. i know the purple one has alot of cool features but i haven't taken advatge of it, maybe that's the one you use?
i have no idea which one is the one on fox. all reality tv shows run together for me. i've never watched either of them, just this little spiel they had running on some talk show the other day.
yeah i use the purple one. i've never used the blue one before, but i really like the purple one. fun times on the ole LJ
