I'm between classes right now, with almost an hour or more of time to burn. I finished the assignment I was doing early.
Why am I taking both Chinese and Japanese again? Oh yes, I'm almost certifiable now. That and Chinese helps with my kanji. -_- Gods, I can't wait for this semester to over.
As for the moving stuff, there is already some one vaguely interested in the house, my old art tutor. I wouldn't mind at all if she were the one who bought it. We have a lot garden wise, at least five rosebushes, two fruit trees, a patch of raspberries and various herbs turning into weeds of the top my head. /nods/ The lemon balm is continuing its plot for lawn domination. Very happy about that. I love mowing the stuff.
I've still got at least half an hour to go, so here's a drabble:
Title: After It's Been Packed Away...
Fandom: Yu gi oh
Author: Stella Wind
Rating: G
Spoilers: Very vague ending of the series. Vague because I have only the foggiest notions of what happened. Most of it is based on my assumptions
Summary: anzu centric
Disclaimer: I do not own the rights, nor am I making a profit from this.
Anzu picked at her thumbnail, running a stray piece of gravel down, watching the clear nail polish as it was plowed upwards. She glanced up for a second as she herd a cheer, and she glanced up briefly to see (what was his name again?) plow through Yugi's defenses with a trap card. She glanced briefly at Yugi, and saw his still casually stance, and went back to her anti-manicure.
Ever since the shadow games as well as the Yami Yugi had been sealed away, Duel Monsters had lost much of its shine. Seto Kaiba had resigned months ago, and Jounochi rarely played now. Mai had moved onwards, as she said, but with a vague lonely look as she left on a cruise. Ryou Bakura had looked his deck in safe and had very ceremonially thrown the key into the ocean.
The only reason Yugi was dueling now was to pass on the title "The King of Games." But he did with such ill concealed boredom that had come to she believed a coin toss would have been a better solution.
Yugi had changed after Yami left. He had become moody, and even snarled occasionally, a far cry from the formerly optimistic, cheerful youth he had been only sixth months prior. His hair had once more become messy, tendrils creeping out of the once uniform spikes. He had become almost gaunt, and had grown almost three inches, further compounding his weight loss. He tended to doze at school, even during lunch. She had given up trying to get him to eat lunch daily and steeled for making sure he wasn't going to be hospitalized.
What scared her the most however was even when he was in his dark moods, he had very little emotion; he was only manifesting more so then he had before.
He had become a waning shell for something long gone, as had they all.
Jounochi had only managed to save himself from the depression by throwing himself into caring for his sister, a coping mechanism that Kaiba seemed to share. Honda had become quiet and contemplative, and seemed to be intent on becoming and Egyptologist. Mia had continued to drift along, barely touching the world. She was almost certain that Ryou was cutting and had mentally added him on the same list as Yugi.
She had changed just as drastically as them she knew. Dance seemed to one of the very few things that could entertain her now, and only when she let herself go into the rhythm. She could hardly stand to even look at DDR now.
All the older duelist of who where once of any standing were bailing out of the game, scrambling to find something else to fill there time, but Anzu felt it was impossible.
The games were over, and what was left for the pawns except to be thrown back into the box?
Wow... that turned out much longer then expected. Please comment! Got to run to class, sorry about the crappy editing.
