For years I've claimed to celebrate Capitalism in December. This year, I went way UNDERboard. The two items I purchased were for the host and hostess of dinner on Christmas day. Both were from vendors at booths near mine at one show or another. The other "gift" I gave was the colored paper I've been collecting all year. That went to my friend who wants colored paper to make his paper out of. He thought it was a fine thing.

I am. It is a comparison between this year and my own previous years. At the height of my gift giving, I would buy things all year long, when a saw something appropriate, for those people to whom I was giving gifts. I never went "Christmas shopping". One of those years also saw the pinnacle of gift wrapping. One box took me six hours to wrap and three full spools of curling ribbon.
