after much analyzing i have realized that getting certified for teaching is going to be about as long as getting a master's. between work, classes at MU, extra classes at MSU, and subbing (MSU wants classroom experience and i sadly, have none), it is going to take much longer than anticipated. my other option i set for myself is getting my master's

hm... you can go for a master's in secondary edu with a concentration in english. that's kind of the best of both worlds.

yeah i was looking at that but at montclair state it still says i need all the prereq's. ahhhh!!!
