Oh, I already had my digital box even when I still had my Röhrenfernseher (I bought my new TV last January) and despite it being an old TV, the quality was still better than with the analogue signal. Of course with the new TV it's even better. ;) And I have a 32" one too, I'm quite happy with the size and I couldn't really fit a much bigger TV into my living room.

I'm absolutely sure the signal is better, but never having the direct comparison, I was very comfortable with what I had. :-)

I'd have problems fitting a bigger tv in my living room, too. Right now I have the tv on a rolling cabinet that I turn depending on where I'm sitting. (Right now it's turned towards the computer). I'm not sure if I could keep a big tv on the cabinet, mom said I'd probably tip it over some day (and she's probably right).

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of tv do you have?

I have a Sony LED TV, this one here. I quite like it and it helped that it was on the cheap side. ;)

I have to admit I don't how many inches my tv has anymore, but it was quite a bother to get one that fit into my living room cupboard (no space to put it anywhere else and the cable plug is there). The decision was then largely made by the question which has the lowest foot so I didn't actually end up with a smaller screen than the Röhrenfernseher had. (In case you're interested: I tried to go for quality and got Loewe Xelos... . Not so happy with it, it sometimes freezes and it is very choosy which devices it deigns to receive HDMI-signals from, and not even always from them so you have to turn off and turn on and turn off and turn on... Getting new channels (or finding the old ones again when the cable provider swapped everything around for new ones) requires a technician as it just won't find some frequencies without a complete reset. Maybe it's a Montagsgerät, but I wouldn't recommend it.)

Stay away from Loewe - got it! ;-)

I still haven't quite decided which tv I should get (Samsung is a current favorite), but at least I don't have any problems with space.
