I'm on sick leave for the third day now. To be honest, it was only really bad the first day when I couldn't breathe through my nose and used up three packs of tissues. I probably could still have dragged myself to work but I don't like my workplace enough to do that

Thank you. Sadly, new jobs don't just turn up by themselves...

I don't hate it every day but it's really tiring to always run into the same problems. I do hope I find something soon, I hate job hunting.

wouldn't it be better to stay in the current job while you are looking for a new one? or do you hate it so much it eats up all your spoons and you have to get out asap? tendering your resignation from your end will get you a three months ban on unemployment benefits. no problem if you have savings. be careful, though, not to lose health care. the premium is bound to skyrocket when you have to pay all of it yourself.

Good point about the health care. I do know it's better to have something lined up before resign. And I can probably bear it for a while longer, even if being less than enthusiastic about my work is doing neither me nor my company any good.

Health-wise I do feel much better, thanks. Sadly, new job opportunities don't just come out of nowhere.

one thing i've learned the hard way, when i'm sick is a lousy time to make big decisions... or even small ones, ha! i am not the most logical thinker when i'm under the weather. ♥

Well, to be honest, I've thought about resigning for a long time now. This was just the first step towards actually doing it. Not that I've used the letter so far.
