In fairness, trains go to both Oxford and Cambridge. But once you get there, the pretty bits of Cambridge are more compactly laid out. See them by punt.

We're probably going by car. We're doing a rough circle anyway so it makes sense to stop along the way, maybe even overnight. Good point about Cambridge being compact. Ha, punting... There are punt tours available too - you get into a giant punt at the Scudamores near Magdalen Bridge and your punter will tell you stuff about everything as you go by. Not as much *fun* as doing the punting for yourself, but more informative!

Well, he's named after the Weasley family owl, who's old and slow - but he certainly defies that image. And there's always also Errol Flynn. :)

Yay! I didn't expect to go back so fast, but I'm certainly not complaining. We're going in August (so hopefully the weather should be nice), on the 18th.

Ha, I'm going to London next week and apparently it's going to rain every single day. Oh well. I hope you'll have better luck!

Ugh, that doesn't sound nice. But I don't trust the weather reports right now, so I hope you'll get lucky and have some sun. And have fun!
