Guess who'll have internet at her new apartment, soon! Before going on vacation, even. At least Jan, the nice guy on the hotline said so. I'll believe it when someone's standing on my doorstep, wanting to exchange the socket. I think this time the chances of it happening are quite good, though. Also, the living room gets closer and closer to being ( Read more... )

yay internet, and yay for finding accommodations in london!

i'm sorry to hear about the continued bullying of your poor gerbil, though. that's so hard! maybe if you do wind up needing to keep them in separate cages, you could try getting a new friend for the one who's left alone? maybe he'll like a different gerbil better?

There is indeed a lot of yay lately.

(Disclaimer: All my "wisdom" does not come from years of experience but reading things on websites.) Apparently gerbils are vicious little things when they're put together with someone new; it's very likely that they start fighting right away. Not because they don't like each other but because they don't know each other. So you have to slowly let them get used to each other -- which is about the same process as trying to get two gerbils who have been fighting back together. :|

it's so cool that people who know stuff about gerbils - and everything else! - share it online so the rest of us can learn these things. i hope the slow reintroduction works!

Yay! I went ahead and ordered one of their internet/phone packages, and they guarantee you to get you online in a week. So I'm hesitantly optimistic this time.

New Year's in London sounds fabulous. And breakfast is definitely one of the most important things when choosing accommodation. :D

I'm so looking forward to it. Also to going on vacation with my sister. We haven't done that in ages.
I don't consider breakfast to be a high priority when chosing accomodation (after all, I can just as well go out and get something; and most hostels have a self-serving kitchen where you could even cook your breakfast). But it's sure a nice thing to have!
